William Hale is a multi business owner & investor who notably appeared in Channel 5’s ‘My Extreme OCD Life’ and investment in Cheshire based Web Development & Marketing Agency, Dogs Bollocks.
William suffered with severe OCD during his high school years, leaving him unable to pursue his academic ambitions. It was whilst he was unable to leave his house due to the debilitating impact of the OCD that William began to learn coding and 4 years later he is leading his businesses to success and is deploying his expert Web Development & Marketing services to customers in the UK & USA.
William’s first venture in 2014 was ‘Plane Spotting UK’, a digital magazine for plane spotters around the UK. He started this on a local basis for plane spotters at Manchester Airport however within two months of launching the website, William was seeing over 20,000 monthly unique visits to his site and endeavoured to expand his digital enterprise nationally. After he invested more time and money into a state-of-the-art website with logging facilities for plane spotters across the UK at all airports, William launched the rebranded site in 2015 which quickly became the No.1 Plane Spotting Website in the UK. It was after expanding to a national offering that William soon began to see its successes with monthly hits of over 65,000, partnerships with leading UK brands, sponsorships and TV placements.
In late 2016 William received an offer to buy the website and software he had developed and whilst William rejected the first offer, he thought about it hard before accepting a counter offer and in early 2017 Plane Spotting UK had been sold.
During this time William had been providing his Web Development & Marketing consultancy to businesses around the UK and also in America too with a main aim of getting as many small businesses online as possible, without the high agency costs. He continued to provided these services as a freelancer until the end of 2017 when he began incorporated a large-scale digital marketing agency.
In January 2018 and in conjunction with his business partners, John Mamelok and Alan Mihailovits, William launched DogsBollocks.com, a Web & Marketing Agency providing bespoke solutions to businesses of all sizes across the UK. With their unique pricing strategy they are making it possible for small businesses to get online for an extremely affordable package. William left the agency in December 2018.
